Hunting of Man

Soldiers walk in lines
Committing sins and abiding law
eating the placenta of the night's sky
they lay on their back, stomachs
Proud
& fat.
They perform, 
They must.
perform the ritual
exorcise
exhume the dead
a rite of passage
in a man-less community.
enlightened little boys,
holding guns
Killing childhood, innocence.
