I'm sorry Twainy, but I disagree-immensely. In English, we were discussing universal need, my teacher (who I love and respect dearly) said that truth is a universal yearning.
No. It's not. If I'm fat, I don't want to be told I'm fat. Children don't want to know that magic isn't real, that Santa and the tooth fairy are nothing but stories, tales, twisted into either pleasing or controlling kids.
And the same goes for adults. Do you wanna know you're ugly, or that your new hair colour looks friggin terrible. HELLZ NO!
Knowing the truth is horrid. Would you want to know the date of your death, I wouldn't and apparently 96% people agree with me. Well at least according to the bucket list.
