No. 1
Oh my gosh, it is finally here. I feel like I have been reviewing these forever. Now the film ranked number one on http://listverse.com/2008/09/06/15-great-short-films/ is 10 minutes by Ahmed Imamovic. This film, which is shot as one long take was ranked first in the Europeans best film list.
I like it because it sort of catches you off guard, and takes captures a moment in time (10 minutes rather). Visually it is impeccable, but naturally the immensely large budget. The acting is great for a short film, I especially love the little boy, I found the flash back to be so real, and his acting to be so natural.
This film is a key example of how short filmic pieces don't have to be wacked out, and that the writers can be sane and sober. I love it, and I watch it over and over again.
