Studies of Religion, how you open my mind. So far in my studies I have looked in depth at Islam and Christianity. The latter being boring as bat shit, and the first being much to delicate for me to write about late at night, with only half my wits about me, this is my first real post on the subject.
I am studying Hinduism, a religion with 825 million followers and over 6000 years of experience. Also, did I mention it was AWESOME.
I am thoroughly enjoying it, a Hindu devotee has so much direction, and inspiration to be the best bloke they can be. It's also very laid back, if I was to be exiled in a country, it would be a Hindu country. Not only because they would most probably be coloured, but I feel they would look after me.
Now although they have gods a-plenty. They also have a beautiful philosophy, revolving around actions and love. Even if one does not believe in a divine force, surely they can see the good in something that encourages people to love and give without the expectancy or need of some sort of gain or reward?
